Lucas is a passionate freelance photographer who has found his place in the inspiring natural environment of northern Åre. Here, Lucas shares his experiences, his profession, and his commitment as an ambassador for Swedemount.
Lucas begins by telling about his journey into the world of photography.
"It actually started during high school when I began experimenting with taking photos with my mobile phone."", says Lucas."
After working as a communicator and experiencing unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic, Lucas took the step to pursue his passion full-time. He founded his own company and started working as a freelance photographer full-time.
"That was when my freelance career really took off"", says Lucas."
He emphasizes the importance of daring to take risks and following one's dreams, even when it is challenging.
As a freelance photographer, Lucas has had the opportunity to visit many places, but one of the most memorable is the Dolomites in Italy. He shares his experiences from a photo shoot, where he was fascinated by the incredible nature and the opportunities for exciting photography experiences.
"It was like having Åre's nature, but multiplied by ten.", he says enthusiastically.
In addition to the experience in the Dolomites, Lucas talks about the exciting challenge of photographing skiing, which requires speed and precision. Despite the difficulties involved, he feels inspired to capture the moment in a unique way.

When Lucas moved to Åre, it was like he found his home and the lifestyle he wanted to be in. Lucas describes snowboarding as a therapeutic activity that allows him to clear his mind and challenge himself. He talks about the moments when he glides down the slopes, with headphones on and music in his ears, or when he takes on the challenging jumps and parks that Åre has to offer.
"The evening slopes are truly magical here in Åre, they light up a slope every night so you can ski then too. It's often a bit different skiing but really awesome, like a different kind of after work."
For Lucas, the ski slopes are not only a place for adventure but also for reflection and community.
During the summer months, Lucas swaps his skis for hiking boots and mountain bikes. He explores the surrounding mountains and valleys, takes on new challenges, and lets himself be inspired by the surrounding nature. For Lucas, adventures are not limited to one season.
Lucas' commitment to photography has also led to a close collaboration with Swedemount, where he serves as an ambassador and creates inspiring images that highlight the company's products in the beautiful nature in and around Åre.

Despite challenges such as time pressure and weather conditions, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality images that capture the unique feeling of Swedemount.
Lucas enthusiastically talks about the collaboration with Swedemount and how it has developed over the years. From the first meeting on a ski lift to the big photo shoots and the close partnership that has emerged.
"Swedemount was my first actual photo collaboration, so it is very close to my heart, you could say."
He describes how he and Swedemount complement each other perfectly, where he offers his visual expertise and passion for adventure, while Swedemount supports and encourages his work.
